This is the Holy Cross Cathedral, the mother church of Catholicism in Nigeria. It is where the Cardinal Anthony Okogie, Archbishop of Nigeria, presides.
Went in during the weekend and was awestruck. Sitting in the pews, I looked up and beheld such splendour that I was moved to confession. The stained windows painted with the vision of the saints, the Ascension and many other Christian art was truly piercing. However, not being Catholic, all I could ask Father Jacob whom I met was permission to take some photos that he granted.
Have a wonderful Easter Monday.
Lagos means many things to different people. I would like to show you the Lagos that I see everyday in pictures.

Cathedral Church of Christ
Founded in 1867, the Cathedral Church of Christ adorns the Marina in Lagos like a beautiful bride. I have a previous post from 2008.

Cathedral Church of Christ
Founded in 1867, this is one of the most picturesque church buildings in Lagos. Located on the Marina, Lagos Island, it packs some of the best history of Nigeria's colonial days in its pews. One of its members was Herbert Macaulay, the founder of Nigeria's first political party.
