Rain bricks

People walk over bricks laid along the floor of this pedestrian bridge in Ikosi after the rains poured all night during the weekend. It is a bit of a balancing act as people try to avoid soiling their shoes during the early morning rush. Long queues usually form as pedestrians take turns to make it across the little pond formed on the bridge.

Working Lagos IX

Doris Benson
22 year-old Doris Benson registers to vote for the first time at Ikosi, Lagos during Nigeria's voter registration process. Like Nkiru Igboedu in the bottom photo, many young Nigerians who have attained voting age will be queuing up to select their leaders in April. Many young people are disenchanted with the situation in the country and desire a change.
