Sun No Dey Sleep - Beautiful Nubia concert

Beautiful Nubia

On Sunday June 19 (Father's Day), folk singer Beautiful Nubia launched his eighth studio album titled Sun No Dey Sleep (The Sun does not sleep) at the Sparkle Hall in Ikeja. Being a fan, I attended and it was another amazing performance from the artiste. Here's a link to an article I wrote about his music from a socio-political perspective.

LCPB Testimonials

I am currently being offered [work] by a company to be positioned in Lagos, that's how I found your blog and viewed the photos of Lagos. The buildings and the views are beautiful, it is unlike what others post in the internet. Your blog sure opens my eyes, there are not many similar blogs, and I’m very lucky to find yours. Like Lagos, Jakarta is often misunderstood by many expats. Sometimes the news is just exaggerating and the journalists ignore the real fact that many expats do enjoy living here.

Truly inspiring work. I kept saying to myself this lady talks like a journalist - until I checked your contacts et al and found you were indeed a journalist but NOT female (hey, don't blame me - ALL the Lolades I know are female LOL!)

Once again, great work! By the way, my all time favorite [photo] is Professor Webster!

I chanced on your blogsite while doing research for an assignment. Your photo collections are very helpful.

The City Center in Lagos, a big landmark, it is. Thanks for taking the picture and posting it.

Saw your excellent blog - I have been looking for other Lagos photographers for a while now! How do you manage to get these pictures. Whenever I try I get wahala!

- Scott Ryan, expat

Lolade Adewuyi's Lagos City Photo explores the easily ignored, the glimpsed exceptions of human life. Lagos City Photos also shows us the silent history and the loud flashes of our present mental states. Kudos to you.
