Lagos means many things to different people. I would like to show you the Lagos that I see everyday in pictures.

MIxed start for our boys
The Nigerian Olympic football teams began their challenge for gold in China on a mixed note. The female team lost 0-1 to North Korea yesterday in Shenyang. Today our boys played out a goal-less draw against the Dutch team in Tianjin. I took these photos in the office today as we all watched TV rooting and screaming for our boys to "bring it on!".
We look forward to better days ahead and hope that our boys can re-enact the feat of the 1996 team that beat Brazil and Argentina to win the gold medal at Atlanta.

I reckon that Nigeria will pick up their share of medals this Olympics.
Hopefully we will. But then the one that matters most will be a medal in football. Football is like a religion here. It helps to smoothen all the many cracks over our country.
Lolade, you should have seen me during the match between Naija and Belgium. I was a screaming banshee. In fact, I am glad my neighbors did not call the police to check up on us. That match was pure bliss!!!!
I hope those Eagles can reproduce the great skill they exhibited when the meet Argentina on Friday. We have beaten the Argentines before, and by God's grace, we shall beat them again.
I am off to continue praying for the boys. =)
